Translunar Academy
Translunar Academy (commonly abbreviated TLA) is an academy for training technopaths. Students attend for three years, with a typical age upon admission of around 170 lunar months (14 years old). Most students have their tuition paid through an indentured servitude contract with a defense contractor after passing the admission exam, while a minority of students come from wealthy families who can afford tuition without such deals.
TLA is operated by the Cybernautics Corporation, a company dedicated to technopath training. It is regarded as one of the top technopath schools in the solar system, and technopath graduates of TLA are highly valued by their employers and handlers.
The academy's campus consists of a small, luxury colony, independently owned by Cybernautics. It is positioned at the earth-moon L2 point, in a planar Lyapunov orbit. It is a cylinder-type colony with an average circumference of 1.312km, which rotates at around 1.2RPM to simulate gravity of around 0.3G. TLA began operation in 2238.
